Your First Steps

New to Myrthalis? This page takes you from your first login to your first dungeon.

1. Always use the launcher

Start the game with the Echoes Launcher: it downloads only what changed, shows the news, then press START.

Don't start Neuz.exe directly

You would miss patches: windows can look broken, or the game may not connect at all.

2. Your starter kit

Every new character starts with the Novice Echo Set:

  • an Oblivion weapon, a dark armor set and outfit for your class, a cloak and a mask;
  • a box where you pick your accessories (STR, INT, DEX or STA);
  • a Novice Echo Shield Selector (the shield or the magic shield);
  • 300 Remantis Laccotte and 3 Farming Grounds Tickets.

The set grows with you: it gets stronger every level up to level 190, where it reaches half the power of Tier 1 Echo gear, and it stays at full power after a rebirth. Every Novice Echo weapon has +100% casting speed from level 1.

Make it even stronger

Upgrade it, add elements and sockets, and awaken it with a Starter Awakening Scroll from the Red Perin shop (see Awakening & Rarity).

When you create your character you also pick a starter outfit (hat, suit, gloves and shoes) and a looter pet.

3. Your first goals

Goal Where Why
Level up to 60 Flaris fields Your job change; most systems open
Open the Echoes Hub Ctrl+L Your checklist: what is ready today
Clear a dungeon on Easy Ctrl+D Dungeon Points, and the next difficulty unlocks
Get your Gemstone Belt the Gemcutter on the Flaris plaza Clear any dungeon, then show him a Tier 1 Gemstone
Farm crafting materials the Echo Grounds Warden on the Flaris plaza Free, from level 1

4. Where everything is

The Flaris plaza (around the fountain) is your hub: the Tower Keeper, the Farming Grounds Keeper, the Echo Grounds Warden and the Gemcutter all stand there, and the Supporters Board is by the main square.
